With the snip of a ribbon and blast of a vuvuzela, the ski season at Centro de Ski El Colorado is officially underway. El Colorado inaugurated its first double chairlift in 1953 and it has been the go to resort for residents of Santiago, Chile (only 1 hour away) for the past 71 years.

El Colorado features 40km of trail serviced by two doubles chairs, three triples chairs and loads of surface lifts. It summit elevation is 10,935 feet with a 3,576 feet vertical drop. Very fun place to check out and an easy day trip from the Chilean capital. Single day lift tickets will set you back about $70 USD and their rental fleet is impressive.

Cheers to El Colorado for the successful start of their 2025 season!
