Ski blader takes on steep and narrow couloir.

To ski a steep and narrow couloir in the backcountry, you generally want lightweight skis with a narrow turn radius. A pair that’ll be easy to control and won’t get away from you. Probably something shorter, rather than longer, so you can squeeze through any tight spots.

Ski blades, perhaps? Probably not, ski blades aren’t the easiest to keep your balance on and you don’t want to wipeout in a high consequence area like a narrow couloir. Unless you’re this Swiss skier who finds the ski blades to be the perfect tool for the job.
