With Memorial Day Weekend coming to a close, we’re officially down to just four open outdoor ski resorts across the United States and one of them will only be open for this upcoming weekend. Your opportunities to get on snow before the end of the season are quickly shrinking, so don’t miss your chance.

Arapahoe Basin, Colorado – Tentative closing date June 8th.

Colorado’s last open ski resort has set a tentative closing date for June 8th, but that could change if conditions allow. As of May 27th, Arapahoe Basin has a 48 inch snow base with 2 open lifts and 22 open runs. After June 1st (Sunday), the resort will close for the week before reopening on June 6th, 7th and 8th.

Arizona Snowbowl, Arizona – June 1st.

Arizona Snowbowl is celebrating their longest season in history this year with a total of 185 days of skiing and snowboarding. They’re currently closed during the weekdays but will reopen for one final weekend on May 31st and June 1st. The mountain currently has a base depth of 18 inches and has seen 200 inches of snowfall this season.

Mammoth Mountain, California – Open into June.

Mammoth Mountain is officially the last open ski resort in the state of California. An official closing date has still not been announced, though they do plan to keep the skiing and snowboarding going into June. Starting today, May 27, daily operations will run from 7:30am to 1:00pm with Broadway Express, Stump Alley Express, Face Lift Express, Discovery Express, and Chair 23 open as long as conditions allow.

Timberline Lodge, Oregon – Open into the summer.

Skiing and snowboarding on Timberline Lodge’s Palmer Snowfield will continue deep into the summer, providing both private and public lanes for training and general on-the-snow fun throughout the warmer months. An exact closing date for the Palmer Snowfield is not known, but it will likely be open through August and potentially into September.
