Tadej Pogačar wins the Ronde van Vlaanderen 2025.

Think you’re a good cyclist? Ever wanted to test your skills against one of the best riders in the world? Well now you can! Professional cycling legend Tadej Pogačar is inviting cyclists from around the world to try to beat him up the steep climbs of Krvavec in Slovenia.

The Ronde van Vlaanderen 2025, won by Tadej Pogačar

The Pogi Challenge, as it’s been named, will begin with a group ride from the Hippodrome near Komenda towards the foot of Krvavec. Once the group reaches the mountain trail, participants will start their climb. Tadej will give everyone a few minute head start before beginning his climb. For everyone else, the challenge is to reach the summit before him. If successful, riders will earn a personal congratulation from one of the greatest cyclists alive.

This first portion of the ride, the group ride, is about 5.5 miles. The second portion, the actual climb, stretches to about 8.6 miles. Overall the ride includes an elevation gain of ~3,900 feet and an average gradient of 7.6%.

There’s only a little above 1,100 spots open for the competition, so register soon if you want to participate. Registration can be done here. The basic starting fee costs 125 € and includes an event jersey, a sponsored gift bag, and a gondola ride back down the mountain when it’s all over.

Tadej Pogačar is one of the best cyclists in the world today. He’s won the Tour de France three times and the Giro d’Italia once, as well as being the 2024 World Champion and sitting on top of the world rankings for more than four years.
