It’s May 13th, and usually a date that late into the spring implies that snowstorms and ski season are both pretty much over. But at Banff Sunshine Village, May 13th means waking up to yet another powder day.

Banff Sunshine recorded just under 5 inches (12cm) of fresh snow overnight, bringing their 24 hour total up to about 5.5 inches (14cm). With that new snowfall, the ski resort has seen nearly 19 feet of snow throughout the entire season and has a snow base of around 5 feet 5 inches.

Banff Sunshine is one of just three open ski resorts in Canada (Whistler Blackcomb and Sommet St. Sauveur are the other two). The resort is set to close following their annual Slush Cup set for next Monday, May 19th.
