Mount Bohemia Party.
Mount Bohemia Party.

The competition for which Michigan ski resort would close the latest was conceded by Mount Bohemia back on April 27th when they stopped spinning their lifts despite receiving an incredible 314 inches of snow (26.1 feet) over the 2024/2025 winter. The Upper Peninsula resort was quick to congratulate Boyne Mountain for outlasting them in their annual “who can stay open the latest” contest and in a classy move directed Michigan skiers to head to Boyne to keep the season alive.

Apparently the folks at Boyne Mountain are gracious winners as they have invited all Mount Bohemia season pass holders to join them for day of free skiing on May 17th. Mount Bohemia and Boyne just broke the news on the joint social media post:

“Big Announcement!!! Bohemia season pass party Boyne Mountain Saturday May 17th. Free skiing for all Bohemia season passholders then free pizza and pool party at the clocktower pool (base of Boyne). Free entrance to Boyne’s Avalanche water park for the first 100 Boho season passholders. Come join us and give a big thanks to Boyne Mountain for inviting us to their May skiing.”

Lovely to see these two midwest ski resorts participating in a friendly rivalry and supporting each other throughout. Cheers to everyone involved!
