The ski season is still going strong in some areas across the United States. California, Oregon, Washington, and beyond all have ski resorts open heading into this upcoming weekend, though many will be closing over the next few weekends. Solitude Mountain in Utah is among those planning to keep the season going late into the month of May.
Solitude is currently operating 7 days a week with 4 open lifts and 15 open runs (as of Tuesday, May 6). That schedule will come to an end on May 11. After this upcoming Sunday, Solitude will shut down operations until Friday, May 16.
May 16 marks the start of the Utah mountain’s first bonus weekend, with Apex Express and Link open from 9am-3pm on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. Then things will shut down again from Monday-Thursday.
For Memorial Day Weekend, Solitude hopes to do four more days of bonus skiing Friday-Monday, with Apex Express and Link once again open from 9am-3pm between May 23-26. If they make it to Memorial Day, that will mark the latest closing date in Solitude’s history. All of these bonus weekends are conditions permitting.
