Tragic news out of New Hampshire where are 39-year-old skier was killed at Black Mountain Ski Area.

According to NBC Boston, police in Jackson, New Hampshire responded to a report of a skiing accident at the mountain around 5:51pm on Sunday, April 20. While no one witnessed the accident, it was reported by a passing skier.

The skier was found on the edge of the snow line to the left of the Upper Maple Slalom trail where he was unresponsive with significant injuries. The man was brought to the base area and lifesaving measures were undertaken.

The skier, identified as Eric Page of Bartlett, was later declared deceased after additional lifesaving efforts provided by Bartlett Jackson Ambulance personnel were unsuccessful.

Our thoughts go out to the friends and family of the deceased at this time.

Black Mountain Ski Area:

On the evening of Sunday, April 20th, our staff responded to an accident near the summit of Black Mountain. Upon arrival, we found an unresponsive adult male with significant injuries. Life-saving measures were undertaken on the mountain as the skier was evacuated. Additional lifesaving efforts were provided by Bartlett-Jackson Ambulance at the base area, but were unsuccessful.

The entire Black Mountain community is deeply saddened by this tragic accident. I would like to extend our heartfelt condolences to the individual’s friends and family, the Black Mountain community, and all who have been affected by this loss.
