Motorless Mornings are set to return to the stunning Garden of the Gods in Colorado Springs this year, allowing cyclists, runners, hikers, skateboarders, and longboarders to enjoy the park without any cars or trucks.
The Motorless Mornings are scheduled for April 27 and October 5, running from 5am to 12pm on both days. All park rules, including speed limits and designated slow zones, must be followed with the exception of the no skateboarding or longboarding on park roads rule.
Those hoping to make the trip on one of these days can park at the Garden of the Gods Visitor and Nature Center, Garden of the Gods Trading Post, or Parking Lot 1 for free. A shuttle into the main parking lot will be available upon request.
The park also offers Early Bird Hike & Bike days throughout the summer, including on May 21, June 25, July 30, August 27, and September 24. Hikers and bikers will be able to enjoy the park car free from 5am-8am on these days, though skateboarding and longboarding will not be allowed.
Parking for Early Bird Hike & Bike days functions the same as Motorless Mornings.
