A woman’s day with her dog at “the beach” in Arapahoe Basin‘s parking lot was ruined when another dog owner let his pet out of his vehicle.
According to the Summit County Sheriff’s Office, the other dog leapt onto the woman’s dog, causing a fight to break out between them. The woman, hoping to help her dog, placed he arms in between the two.
In the chaos the man’s dog bit the woman, leading Animal Control to issue the man a bit confinement order for his dog.
Dogs are allowed in the Arapahoe Basin parking lots, but the ski area requires that they be leashed. Additionally dogs are allowed on the mountain before and after operational hours but they must be under control at all times.
