Canada’s Big White Ski Resort is closing off its 2024/25 season this Sunday, April 6, after around four and a half months of skiing and snowboarding. To celebrate their most frequent customers, the British Columbian resort is offering an official pin to those who’ve skied or snowboarder for 100 days or more.
Guests who hit 100 days on the mountain will be able to grab their pin at the Activities Desk in the Village Centre Mall until April 6, 2025, and at Big White’s downtown Kelowna office once the season ends. Those who aren’t certain if they’ve reached the 100-day mark can email resortservices@bigwhite.com with their name to find out if they’re on the list.
Big White opened on November 22, giving them a 136 day season between opening and closing on April 6. That doesn’t leave a ton of wiggle room for reaching the 100 day mark.
Big White Resort sees an average of 24.5 feet of snowfall per year. 16 lifts bring their uphill capacity to 28,700 skiers per hour, and 119 designated trails supply skiing of all levels. The mountain includes 2,834 acres of patrolled area. This season so far, Big White has seen just under 228 inches of snowfall, or about 19 feet.
