Monarch Mountain announced plans earlier this month to extend their season by a week, bringing their closing date from April 6 to April 13. To go along with the late closure, Monarch is offering $39 lift tickets between April 7 and April 13 this spring.

Monarch sighted late season snowfall for the season extension, with 199 inches falling so far this season and a 56 inch base of snow on the mountain. In the past 7 days, 5 inches of snow have fallen at the resort. That said, Monarch is far below their season average of 350 inches.

Monarch Mountain has 67 total trails, 59 of which are lift accessed and 8 of which are hike-accessed. Of their 800 skiable acres, 670 are accessible by chairlift. Between 24-36% of the resort is considered black/most difficult, while 8-12% is considered double black/extreme.

$39 lift tickets will be available both online and in person at the ticket counter. Accessing Monarch Mountain takes about two and a half to three hours from the Denver area.
