Storage building burns @ Big White Ski Resort

Big White Ski Resort in British Columbia suffered a Sunday morning structure fire that was caught on the resort’s Snow Ghost Webcam.

The burned building is used as a storage cabin for the resort’s snowmobile tour vehicles. Big White Fire Department responded to the scene quickly and extinguished the blaze.

The cause of the fire is not been determined but the resort promises to more information when available.

BIG WHITE STATEMENT:

Resort Update: There has been a small fire incident at Big White Ski Resort below the Big White Road in a small wooden structure known as the snowmobile tour storage facility. Updates will be available when we receive more information.

UPDATE: As of 8:15am this morning the fire has been put out and is in the mop-up stage.

We take this opportunity to thank the quick response of the men and women from the Big White Fire Department.
