Heart pumping stunt out of southern France where Polish wingsuit pilot Filip Kubica performed a precision fly through a small aperture on one of the 7 pillars that supports the world’s tallest bridge, the Viaduc de Millau.
The room for error on this proximity flight this next to zero and the consequences of veering off path would assuredly be fatal. Wingsuit pilots are a breed of their own and Filip is exceptional among the elite.
About Filip Kubica:
To get to know the world from a different perspective than the one that accompanies us every day when we set foot on the ground.
As a kid on school trips I would sneak away to bungee jump while others spent their pocket money on games or jelly. I was always looking for my own path, and it was often completely different from the socially accepted one.
In 2015, with the first money I had saved up, I took a basic parachute course to spend the next few years in parachute zones gaining my first skills in moving in the air. I jumped from planes, balloons, motor gliders, gliders and everything that could take me to the right height for a jump.
However, I was still searching for space and nature, which I had previously been strongly connected to as a climber. In 2017, I made my first BASE jump, i.e. a jump from a fixed object.
Since then I have made over 1800 jumps from cliffs, bridges, buildings, towers, antennas and other strange structures. I have jumped in 22 countries around the world, visiting the most beautiful mountains on Earth.
Currently I have found my place in the Swiss Alps where I am looking for new places to fly in a wingsuit.
