Big Sky, Montana — After another winter with major upgrades, Big Sky Resort has won a prestigious award.
Last week, OnTheSnow announced their 2024-25 Visitors’ Choice for Best Overall Ski Resort. Big Sky Resort won the Best Overall Ski Resort award thanks to its expansive terrain, modern lift network, and great views. This follows the recent addition of the Madison 8 bubble chairlift, the One & Only Gondola, and the Lone Peak Tram.
Past winners of the Best Overall Ski Resort award include Telluride, Steamboat Resort, and Aspen Snowmass.
“We are deeply honored to be recognized as OnTheSnow’s 2025 Best Overall Ski Resort,” said Troy Nedved, the President and COO of Big Sky Resort. “When we unveiled our Big Sky 2025 vision nine years ago, it represented an ambitious roadmap to elevate us into the realm of world-class destinations. The recognition from our guests validates that our unprecedented investment—one of North America’s most ambitious capital plans—has truly transformed the resort experience.”
Other winners from OnTheSnow’s 2024-25 awards included Jackson Hole for Best All-Mountain Terrain, Breckenridge for Best Après-Ski, Silverton for Best Small Ski Area, Angel Fire for Most Family-Friendly, Purgatory Resort for Best Ski Area for Beginners, and Copper Mountain for Best Terrain Park.
