Skier survives 150 foot cliff fall.
Skier survives 150 foot cliff fall.

It’s not every day that you see someone hit a 150 foot cliff and survive it with little injury, but that’s just about exactly what happened to skier Devin Stratton. Stratton was following another skier’s track on Mount Timpanogos in Utah when the ground disappeared from underneath his feet.

Stratton essentially fell off the equivalent of a 15-story building, falling through the air for 3.08 seconds. Unbelievably he felt almost completely fine after the fall, noting that his head, ribs, and back hurt but was otherwise all good.

Apparently later x-rays confirmed that Stratton was uninjured. Let this video be a reminder to not follow random tracks in the snow if you don’t know where they lead.
