Georgia (The Country) This past weekend seemed like it would feature the latest competition for the Freeride World Tour. However, the mountain had other plans.

The original plan was to host the event on the Kaseb face at the Tetnuldi Resort in Mestia, Georgia, but the snowpack proved unstable. As the video below demonstrates, attempted stabilization proved futile, as significant avalanches continued to emerge.

Work then went towards finding a new site for the competition. They found a new face, Kakhiani, and riders found the terrain to be challenging yet suitable for the competition. The Freeride World Tour will officially announce the competition date two days beforehand. The Freeride World Tour is currently aiming for the event to occur Thursday-Saturday of this week.
