You may be familiar with carnival games that are seemingly impossible to win unless you know the secret to success. They have one of those in Northern China that you probably have never seen before and we suggest wearing a helmet if you take up the challenge.
The Harbin International Ice and Snow Festival in China’s Heilongjiang Province
is home to “The Ice Pit Challenge” which is a popular winter game where tourists are lowered into 3-meter diameter convex sheet of ice and simply asked to climb out of it.
You may think running straight up the wall would be the winning technique but you would be wrong. If you can’t figure it out and accept defeat, a snowtube tethered to a rope is lowered down and the participant is pulled out.
