Chairlift decks skier in the head.
Chairlift decks skier in the head.

If you’ve ever wondered why a low-hanging chairlift might have ropes preventing you from skiing or snowboarding underneath, this video is why.

Filmed at Myrkdalen Ski Resort in Norway, this was after a lot of snowfall in a few days, so that explains why this guy’s head was so close to the chairlift.

Fortunately he was wearing a helmet and wasn’t knocked too hard, but I’d imagine there’s a bit of trust issues surrounding his friend behind the camera now. The cameraman claims he didn’t see the lift, which is believable if he was zoned out, but I’d still be pretty upset if I was the friend.
