North America — If you’re an avid skier who’s tired of using dating apps or messenger pigeons, there’s another way to find your soulmate this week. This week, various ski resorts across North America are offering chairlift speed dating events. This form of speed dating involves two potential mates riding up a chairlift together. If they feel a spark, they can shred together for the rest of the day/evening. If it doesn’t work out, participants can head back to the base terminal of the chairlift and try again with someone else.
Here are some ski resorts that are offering chairlift speed dating this week, most of which are happening on Valentine’s Day.
Black Mountain: On February 14th, Black Mountain of New Hampshire will be offering speed dating on the Double Summit Chairlift. For couples, there will be Lovers Special Friday Night Lights. Those who travel up to the Alpine Cabin will enjoy “a mini-split bottle of Veuve, fondue, and chocolate strawberries, creating a romantic and memorable mountain experience.”
Wachusett: On February 14th from 6:30-7:30 pm, Wachusett Mountain will be offering speed dating on the Vickery Bowl Triple. Those who find a match can hang out on the slopes or at the bar, or if they’re unsuccessful, you can go back for another round. Tickets can be acquired here.

Arizona Snowbowl: For the entirety of February 14th and 15th, the Sunset Chairlift will be home to speed dating. In addition, there will be love-themed specialty cocktails at the Fremont Restaurant & Bar.
Mt. Norquay: Over in Banff, Lifts of Love will try to help those who live around SkiBig3 find their match. It will occur on February 14th from 6:30-7:30 p.m. Following the chairlift speed dating, there will bingo and a DJ party.
