Heads up North American Freeride World Tour (FWT) lovers, your best opportunity to watch a FWT event as it happens is TOMORROW, FEBRUARY 7. The 2025 Kicking Horse Golden BC Pro is set to go down tomorrow in the incredible town of Golden, British Columbia, and unlike the rest of the FWT events, this one actually takes place at a reasonable hour for us North Americans.
The competition is being held on Kicking Horse Mountain Resort‘s Ozone face, offering 324 meters of vertical drop and a maximum gradient of 44 degrees. With a solid snowpack and nearly a foot of fresh snowfall, the face is sure to be ripe with opportunity.
Ozone is naturally divided into two zones. The looker’s right offers steep, technical runs cliffs and chutes, making it an ideal home for the big mountain specialists. The looker’s left features a huge cornice ridge, making a great home for those looking to lean more on freestyle elements. Plus, the venue is home to the legendary Sasaki Pyramid, where Max Hitzig through an unbelievably massive backflip in 2023.
For those hoping to watch the Kicking Horse Golden BC Pro live, the stream will begin at 8:45am MST, or 4:45pm CET, and the first rider is scheduled to drop at 9:00am MST, or 5:00pm CET. The competition will start with the snowboard women, then hit the snowboard men, followed by the ski women and finally the ski men. Don’t miss it!
