Indianapolis, Indiana — It snowed in Indianapolis earlier this week, which meant it was time to START YOUR ENGINES at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway.
A few days ago, Doug Boles, President of the Indianapolis Motor Speedway, took a lap around the track. What made this different was that he snowboarded around the Speedway, thanks to him being carried by a rope that was tethered from a vehicle ahead of him. They don’t plow the course when it snows, so he got to ski some fresh powder. While it didn’t feature the typical jumps of skijoring, it was still a high-speed adventure.
People were stoked to see this happening, with some suggesting that they should host a snowmobile race. Racer Kyle Busch was also ecstatic about Doug getting in some turns:
“A new SNOW ‘track record.’”
