Corbet’s Couloir at Jackson Hole is legendary for a reason, providing a 20 foot drop and a 50-degree pitch in many conditions. It’s one of the steepest in-bound runs in North America, requiring some serious skill for a successful run.
But sometimes, when the conditions are right, Corbet’s Couloir turns into something else entirely. In this case, Corbet’s Couloir had turned into a heinous wall drop, with no funky entrance to make it easier. To ski it right in this sort of condition, all you can do is point ’em downhill.
