California Highway Patrol Truckee received a bit of an unusual call late Monday night, reporting a white Jeep stuck on the slopes Northstar California Resort.
According to the department’s Facebook page, the driver had decided to take a “hotel shortcut” on the snow. Unfortunately his shortcut didn’t quite pan out, and the post alleges that the driver’s navigation skills may have been impaired by a few drinks.
California Highway Patrol officers were brought up to slope with the help of Northstar’s grooming grew and snowcat, and the Jeep driver was arrested for suspicion of driving under the influence.

“Remember: Alcohol impairs judgment and driving ability. Don’t let a poor decision turn into a costly mistake. Plan a sober ride and help keep the roads — and ski slopes — safe for everyone. NEVER DRINK AND DRIVE and leave the “first chair” to the skiers!“
