A 32-year-old snowboarder was airlifted to St. Anthony Hospital in Lakewood, Colorado after falling from Keystone Resort’s Ruby Express lift on Wednesday, December 11.

According to Colorado Public Radio, the snowboarder was tightening his bindings while riding the lift, leading to the fall. Keystone Ski Patrol and Summit County Sheriffs Office responded to the scene.

The Summit County Sheriffs Office reportedly responds to around one chairlift fall incident per season. The Colorado Passenger Tramway Safety Board is currently investigating the incident. The snowboarders condition is not known at this time.
