Maryland’s Wisp Mountain Resort is set to open this Friday, December 6, to kick off the 2024/25 ski season. Operations will run from 9am – 4pm and continue until the resort says otherwise.

For opening day, the McHenry Lodge and Yurt Village Learning Center will be open for rentals, guest services, ticket services, lessons, and more. Daily lift ticket rates for early season are yet to be announced, but those with Wisp 4-packs can ski FOR FREE on opening day. Those with a 4-pack simply need to show proof of purchase at any ticket window and they’ll get a complimentary opening day ticket.

The last day to purchase a 4-pack through Wisp’s Mission Affordable is Thursday, December 5. Through the deal, 4 unrestricted all-day lift tickets can be purchased for just $259. Those 4 tickets will be on four one-time-use cards, plus those who purchase will gain access to the complimentary opening day ticket. The four can be used for four days or for four people, your choice.

The temperatures through the week have stayed fairly low around Wisp Mountain Resort, allowing the Mountain Ops Team to crank out snowmaking. Wisp’s mountain cams show some good looking snow around the base of the mountain. It could be a killer opening day in Maryland!
