Start getting ready for a ski day East Coasters, the New England ski season is really gettin’ going tomorrow. We already discussed Killington’s opening day announcement (they also open on Thursday, November 14), but another New England ski area just announced that they’ll be joining the November 14 opening day party. Sunday River in Maine will kick off their ski season at 9AM tomorrow!
Sunday River did a limited opening on October 31 for Halloween, but they didn’t really consider that the start of their season. The season will begin just with ungroomed, expert only skiing down T2. First chair spins at 9AM and the last upload will occur at 3PM. Downloading will be required from the Locke midstation.
“Tomorrow we’ll be limiting access to those with a season pass, Ikon pass, Mountain Collective pass, or ticket pack, with plans to open daily lift ticket access on Friday, November 15. We will have guest services open and available to help in South Ridge and Barker. Speaking of Barker, parking is limited but we will have shuttles running between Barker and South Ridge throughout the day to assist with parking.“
Pack up your cars, folks! It’s time to get skiing!
