Skiing in Japan.
Skiing in Japan.

Japan is a hot spot for ski & snowboard tourism, with powder lovers from around the world traveling to country’s multiple ski areas. But it feels the skiers and snowboarders that are born and raised in the powder mecca aren’t given as much attention as they deserve. ‘Home From Home’ looks into the lives of several of these athletes, following Yu Sasaki, who’s made Revelstoke in Canada his home, Gen Sasaki, and Ayana Onozuka.

Japan is known for having some of the world’s best snowfall and quality. Now, powder lovers from all over the world flock to Japan in search of deep snow. When I moved to Canada, I chose Revelstoke, the powder mecca of North America. Both my homes have the perfect environment for enjoying freeride skiing. ‘Home from Home’ is a glimpse into the lives and hearts of some of the best Japanese freeride skiers.
