Park City, Utah – It won’t be long before skiers can explore Utah’s newest terrain expansion.
Grace Doerfler from KPCW reports that Deer Valley plans to open its new Deer Valley East Village terrain expansion on December 18th. Meanwhile, the Grand Hyatt at the East Village is opening later this month, and Deer Valley will open for skiing and riding from its Snow Park base area on December 7th.
Susie English, Deer Valley’s communications director, told KPCW that they aim to open it before the busy holiday season:
“The targeted date is Dec. 18, but snow and weather and construction schedules could shift. But [we’re] really excited about the new lift, it’s called Keetley Express. It’s our first six-pack bubble. It’s going to take guests right from that new base village up into existing terrain.”
The first phase of the project, which is projected to open this winter, will include 300 acres of new skiable terrain, 20 runs, 3 lifts, and 500 parking spaces. The 2025-26 season will feature the debut of nearly 100 new ski runs, six new lifts, including a two-stage gondola, and 700 more parking spaces in the East Village. When the expansion is complete, Deer Valley will have 238 trails, 37 lifts, and 5726 skiable acres.
