The FIS Freeride World Tour announced 12 season wildcard athletes to fill out the 2025 competition roster. The eight skiers (4 men, 4 women) and four snowboarders (2 men, 2 women) include rising stars, athletes returning from injuries, and past champions.

On the men’s skiing side, the wildcards include American Ross Tester, a proven podium contender who won Rookie of the Year & 2nd place overall back in 2021 and 3rd place overall in 2022. Swiss Simon Perraudin will also make a return to the tour after recovering from a major back injury, in addition to Canadian skier Weitien Ho, who threw down some major runs in the 2024 season. Joining them is Swedish freeskier Edvin Olsson, making his debut in the professional tour.

The women’s skiing competition will also see four wildcard slots, including 2023 Freeride World Champion and two time Olympic medalist Justine Dufour-Lapointe from Canada. Italian skier and three time FWT champion Arianna Tricomi will return to the competition in addition to Americans Taylor Dobyns, eager to return from an injury, and Molly Armanino, the 2023 FWT vice-champion.

In the snowboarding categories, two men and two women have found themselves with a wildcard slot. British boarder Cody Bramwell returns after multiple strong performances in past seasons, in addition to French Snowboarder and 2022 FWT vice-champion Camille Armand. Canadian, FWT 2023 World Champion, and former Rookie of the Year Katie Anderson will return to the competition following a knee injury, and 2024 FWT Challengers Region 2 3rd place winner Michaela Davis-Meehan will make her debut.

For the first Freeride World Tour competition of 2025, the FWT Baqueira Beret Pro taking place between January 18 & 23, Spanish skier Abel Moga has earned an event wildcard to at his home resort. It should be an exciting season!
