VERMONT – It snowed in Vermont last night! Not a lot, and only a few mountains are reporting that anything stuck around, but it snowed, at we can use that as fuel to keep getting excited for the upcoming ski season!

Gate House Plaza live camera at Sugarbush

Specifically Sugarbush and Killington have reported some healthy snowfall coming into the morning of October 10, with Sugarbush sharing a clip of the snow to their social media (their summit live cameras seem to be turned off at the moment) and Killington’s North Ridge live camera showing a good dusting near the top of the mountain.

Neither Killington nor Sugarbush have an opening day set in stone yet, but Killington typically opens in early/mid November. Last year the resort opened for the 2023/24 season on November 3. The year before that, the mountain opened on November 17. So let’s all keep Ullr in our mind for the time being and hope that something good is coming!

The Mount Washington Observatory Tower Cam (yes, it’s in New Hampshire, but it’s still worth mentioning) shows a whole lot of white at the top of New England’s tallest mountain (as of 10:30am local time).
