With under a month until Copper Mountain’s scheduled opening day of November 8th, the Colorado ski resort took advantage of the below freezing temperatures in Summit County and fired up their snowguns.
“We put snow on the ground this morning. With the temps starting to drop in the evenings and into the mornings here in Summit County, our snowmakers are now taking every opportunity to start building our solid snow base. This is the first step and we’re stoked to see flakes flying!”
Last year Copper started spinning lifts on November 13th with top-to-bottom terrain access from Center Village. Hopefully temperatures remain cold and they are able to open up earlier this year.
“We’re 1 month away from opening day. Mark your calendars (ya know, just in case you’re a forgetful person) check on that summer wax, and get ready for those lifts to spin.”
