This season will mark two milestone anniversaries at Mt. Rose – the resort’s 60th, and the 20th anniversary of The Chutes. We’ll not only celebrate these events all season long with our guests, but are upgrading our facilities and equipment so that we can continue to offer an exceptional experience and high level of service.” – Mike Pierce, Mt. Rose Ski Tahoe marketing and sales director

On Mt. Rose, the popular Around the World trail has been widened in portions to provide more space for the advanced-beginner and low-intermediate skiers and snowboarders that frequent it. Investments in snowmaking upgrades will allow increased snow production when the temperatures get low enough, allowing more coverage with high-quality made snow in early season.

Timbers Taco, once just a stand, now has a permanent location in the Mountain View dining area, and further work has been done on the Lodgepole Cafe. Plus, a new snowcat will be joining the fleet, helping to keep the trails precisely maintained.

Mt. Rose’s “Open Late” schedule is also set to expand, now both Friday and Saturday beginning in late February 2025. Lifts will remain open until 6 p.m. on those days, keeping the ski and snowboard party going strong into the evening.
