SWITZERLAND – Paraglider Patrick von Känel is all about pushing the limits in his sport. Paragliding to gnarly ski lines, competing in the intense Red Bull X-Alps, jumping out of helicopters, doing wild aerial tricks. It’s all wild. But this summer he went after a record, flying through a 152 meter (~498 foot) long tunnel.
So just to be clear, he traveled through a near 500 foot tunnel at about 35mph (55km/h), with just around a meter, or just over three feet, of clearance on each side. The precision, skill, and bravery needed to accomplish such a feet is hard to imagine.
Congrats on the record Patrick!
