Wrightwood, California — A concerning wildfire reached Mountain High Resort, but its infrastructure appears to be still standing.
Last night, the Bridge Fire reached Mountain High Resort in California. Webcams have shown the flames inside the ski resort, potentially damaging its infrastructure. Snow guns have been turned on to salvage buildings and lifts.
According to a statement from the Wrightwood Mountain Group, their infrastructure is intact despite the fire:
“At the west resort, the crew from LA County Fire Station 130 in Lancaster has been at the resort since last evening and they get credit for the incredible work done. The captain from Engine 130 also told me that the building/restaurant at the top of East also survived the fire.”
As of Wednesday morning, the Bridge Fire has reached nearly 48,000 acres and is uncontained. This wildfire is also threatening Mt. Baldy Resort.
This concerning news comes as various ski resorts out West are being threatened by wildfires, including Big Bear Mountain Resort, Mt. Bachelor, Mt. Baldy, Tamarack Resort, Mt. Rose-Ski Tahoe, and Sky Tavern.
This is a developing story, and we’ll keep you posted on the latest developments.
