DENVER, Colorado – Nine grant recipients of the Outdoor Regional Partnerships Initiative in Colorado were announced by Governor Jared Polis, Colorado Parks and Wildlife (CPW) and Great Outdoors Colorado today, bringing two new partnerships in southwestern and southeastern Colorado. The Initiative was designed to support groups that make sure Colorado’s lands, waters, and wildlife thrive while encouraging equitable and quality outdoor recreation. Grants range from $15,000 to $250,000 for a total of $1.3 million.

This grant cycle increases the money invested in Outdoor Regional Partnerships to $4.9 million. Another round of grant funding is set to open in Fall 2024. The lower Arkansas Valley, Purgatoire River, southern San Juan Mountains, Western slope and central mountains, and the southeastern grasslands and Archuleta County are all represented in the grant recipients.

- Eagle County Community Wildlife Roundtable – $15,000
- Central Colorado Recreation Partnership – $125,000
- Montelores Coalition – $214,410
- Northwest Colorado Outdoor Coalition – $220,210
- Outdoor Pikes Peak Initiative – $186,596
- Pagosa Area Recreation Coalition – $125,000
- Roaring Fork Outdoor Coalition – $125,000
- Southeast Colorado Recreation Outdoor Alliance Movement – $75,000
- West Slope Outdoors Alliance – $250,000
