RENO, Nevada – Reno, Nevada’s Sky Tavern Ski Area is hosting the biggest Onewheel even of the year, the 2024 Race for the Rail. The race will pit 26 of the best Onewheel riders (13 men & 13 women) against each other as they rip down the Nevada mountain in hopes of winning a $10,000 grand prize. The race begins on Saturday, August 17, at 10:30 a.m. PST, and can be watched on their live drone stream.

The Race for the Rail caps off the Onewheel Racing League event series. Thirteen riders in both men’s and women’s will compete in heats of four in a bordercross style downhill race taking place along a difficult mile-long trail. Qualifying events are hosted across the world throughout the year, and last year’s championship was just reaired on ESPN 2 (ESPN 8 The Ocho) on August 2nd.
