There’s tons of different ways to measure the success of a hike, distance travelled, elevation gained, calories burned, but we think whoever had the most fun wins the day. Just want to send a sincere thank you to this crew of Norwegian hikers for reminding us that a healthy sense of humor is vital to an enjoyable outdoor experience. Don’t know a word of Norwegian but these ladies are speaking my language. Remember folks, if you can’t laugh at yourself you may be missing the joke.
While laughing is essential to get us through the day, it also has an abundance of physical health benefits including enhanced oxygen intake, bolstering disease resistance through production of immune cells and antibodies, and temporary pain relief through the release of endorphins. They say an apple a day keeps the doctor away but we may have to update that to a good belly laugh.
