Tuckerman Ravine, located on the southeast face of Mount Washington in the White Mountains of New Hampshire, has been proving ground for east coast skiers since the 1930s when it hosted the legendary American Inferno Race.
Every year skiers and snowboarders test their mettle on unforgiving glacial cirque and just making to the bottom safely is considered a win. The vast majority of people who take on Tucks are amateurs so its interesting to see how a couple of pros like Chris Davenport and Hugo Harrisson handle it.
If you ever hear a gnarly skier like Chris Davenport say “no fall zone” you know you are dealing with super consequential terrain.
