Casey Jones questions the safety of the Teton Pass bypass.

TETON PASS, Wyoming – The Teton Pass bypass opened late last week, after crews with the Wyoming Department of Transportation (WYDOT) and Evans Construction spent three weeks grinding to get things running again. It’s hard not to be impressed by the project’s speed, unless you’re an engineer who has a fair number of questions. Professional engineer Casey Jones is back with a few words to say about the quick fix.

“In this video, I provide a new update as to what Wyoming DOT official are saying for the geotechnical aspects of this rapidly constructed bypass that was opened to traffic on June 28, 2024. Unfortunately, in my opinion, too many important geotechnical questions have not been addressed in a clear and straight forward manner by Wyoming DOT officials.
