Peacock's 'Hungry Games' focuses on the fat bears of Katmai National Park.

KATMAI NATIONAL PARK, Alaska – Love the fat bears of Katmai National Park? Find yourself shaking with anticipation every time Fat Bear Week comes up? Well you won’t have to wait all summer this year. Streaming service Peacock is releasing an entire show focused entirely on the fat bears of Katmai on July 11!

As these Alaskan bears gear up for winter hibernation, they must battle the elements and each other, using brains and brawn to consume three million calories and gain up to 200 pounds in 150 days. It’s nature’s real-life survival show, and The Hungry Games: Alaska’s Big Bear Challenge documents the incredible lives of these ferocious creatures with a playful competition spin.
