Outside — With ski season practically over (minus a few holdouts), many outdoorsy people are shifting their focus toward different activities. One such activity is hiking, but ticks are a legitimate risk of going deep into the woods. Getting bitten by a tick raises the risk of acquiring various diseases, especially Lyme disease on the East Coast. Heres with some advice about ticks including using permethrin, DEET, and picaridin before the hike. If a tick does bite you, the best way to remove one from your body is with tweezers.
