An elk in Estes Park got tangled up in some golf course ropes.

ESTES PARK, Colorado – It looks like this big ol’ bull elk was having a pretty rough day. He managed to get himself tangled up in a rope on a golf course in Estes Park, an obviously agitating experience. Seth Powell caught the whole thing on video, sharing the incredible footage to his TikTok and his YouTube.

Here’s the full rescue video of the bull elk that got tangled in some rope on the golf course in Estes Park Colorado last Fall. I was filming this bull and I saw a smaller bull elk inside the rope on the green and thought, Oh no, I hope he doesn’t try to go in there. He did unfortunately and became tangled in the rope. I called Colorado Parks and Wildlife immediately. A man walked over to cut him loose and the bull was still very agitated so he got in a fight with another bull after being cut free. He eventually laid down and Colorado Parks and Wildlife and the Estes Park Police Department came to tranquilize him. They removed the ropes, gave him a reversal shot, and he woke up. It took him a while before he stood up, but you can see him cross the river and on his way to join his herd at the end of this video! Wow, what a crazy day. Thanks for watching and please share with your friends. . . . #elkrescue #animalrescue #elktangled #foryou #colorado #fyp #estespark #estesparkcolorado #happyending

A man cut the ropes so the elk could road free, but he immediately got into a fight with another elk. Fortunately Colorado Parks and Wildlife and Estes Park Police Department were called and responded to the scene, tranquilizing him, removing the ropes, and getting him back up and moving again.
