The Mt. Hood Skiway

MT. HOOD, Oregon – The Mt. Hood Aerial Skiway was one of the most unique ski lifts to ever exist, taking skiers and other visitors up the mountain in a suspended city bus. Sadly, despite its cool look and unique existence, the rides weren’t exactly comfortable, and the Skiway replaced within just a few years.

Oregon’s Mt. Hood was once home to a unique and ridiculous-looking aerial tram. This short documentary tells the story of this unusual business venture, and the reasons it was shut down almost as quickly as it was built.
