Nederland, Colorado- On Thursday morning, a fallen tree led to the death of an Eldora worker.

The 52-year-old male received medical care from ski patrol but died on the scene due to extensive injuries. The Boulder County Sheriff’s Office, Boulder County Coroner’s Office, Nederland Fire Protection District, American Medical Response (AMR), and Boulder County Co-Responders helped with the response.

On Friday, the Boulder County Coroner’s Office announced that the individual was Louis Miller. He was a member of their trail maintenance crew during the offseason. The death is not believed to be suspicious.

Sam Bass, Eldora’s marketing director at Edlora, released the following statement on Thursday to the Denver Post:

“We are shocked and deeply saddened by the tragic incident that occurred this morning resulting in the death of a cherished member of our team. We offer our deepest and most sincere condolences to the family of the deceased. We recognize this event will profoundly impact everyone at Eldora, and we encourage every member of our team to contact the human resources department to access our grief and mental wellness resources. We are immensely thankful to our local emergency responders for their quick response and the medical assistance provided.”

We here at Unofficial Networks send our thoughts and prayers to his family and friends, along with the Eldora community, during this challenging time.
