We all know Maine’s greatest skier, the legendary Donny Pelletier. We’ve all seen how hard he points it down hill. We’ve all seen how much he makes Jonny Moseley look like a full blown Jerry on the slopes. But when was the last time you stopped to think about the man behind the character? When Donny Pelletier goes home at the end of a sick day, who does he become?
The real person behind the icon is Troy Murphy, an Olympic mogul skier from, obviously, Bethel, Maine. And though we all love the antics and wild skiing on Donny Pelletier, it’s fun to remember that Troy Murphy is also sick as f*@k on the snow.
