Whenever we head out onto snow, even if you’re on resort, it’s important to keep in mind just how powerful avalanches can be. That’s no secret, and I’m sure most of you are already quite aware. This video, which appears to have been shot at the French ski resort La Grave, illustrates the power behind slides pretty well.
According to the comments, this slide occurred around 2:30pm local time on April 2. La Grave is known to be a pretty dangerous area, being an entirely off-piste ski resort. There is a patrol on the mountain, but there is no active avalanche control.
