Great news for all you skiers and snowboarders in the Northeast as a late season storm system could make for some primo conditions heading into the weekend. It may be officially spring but winter seems to have wanted to make a final hurray.

Resorts across the region are reporting significant snowfall including Gore Mountain in upstate New York which got 7 inches in the past few days and Stowe in Vermont who clocked in 3 feet of in the last 7 days.

Mountain meteorologist Chris Tomer is optimistic about the snowfall in the region through the end of March but it’s mostly due to fall through 3/23. Hope you find some fresh at your local hill. Giddyup!

Here is an official update from Jay Peak

Day 115: First Update (8:01a)

Topping it off with another 2-3” of snow yesterday – totaling 11” since the last time lifts were spinning. It’s high tide at Jay Peak with one powder day after the next. The sun is coming out to play today for a gorgeous bluebird day. The majority of yesterday’s high winds have moved along out of here, so it should be an overall calm weather day to enjoy our bountiful snow. Temps are on the chilly side with a high of 18 at base, and 12 up top.

Another major storm is moving in starting tonight into tomorrow, which could bring upwards of a foot of new snow throughout the day. Forecasters are calling for possibly another 12-18” on top of what we already have. Now is the perfect time to explore Jay Peak with 100% open terrain including our expansive natural trails, glades, and of course plenty of groomed runs. Save your money when you buy your tickets in advance HERE. Print straight from one of our kiosks or reload a previous Jay Peak lift ticket from this season.

Today we will run The Metro, Taxi, Village, and both moving carpets at 8:30a. The Flyer, Jet, and Bonnie are slated to spin at 9:00a. Stay tuned for an update on the Tram. Last chair for all lifts is at 4p.
