Alyeska, Alaska – Alyeska Resort is the first ski area in the United States to hit 500″ of snow on the 2023/24 ski season. The resort’s total snowfall on the season is sitting at 511″ with more moisture on the way.

Mother Nature has turned on the waterworks here in Girdwood. She also has turned on the winds. At this time, Glacier Bowl Express & the Tram are closed for the day. With continued moisture throughout the evening, our slopes were refreshed & coated with pow. Rain line was around mid-mountain with about 10” of heavy snow accumulating up top overnight. Grab your planks, your storm lenses, some buddies, & join us on the mountain for a 500”+ party! While you’re exploring pow town out there, expect to find mixed precipitation this afternoon, continued high winds, & a high temp near 35*
