It seems as though we’re finally heading into a weekend of solid snowfall at resorts across the United States. Over the next week, we could see well over a foot of snow touching down at mountains in the Pacific North West, California, the Rocky Mountains, and even New England. Meteorologist Chris Tomer brought us a quite joyful AM mountain weather update this morning, following a three storm cycle meant to impact both the East and the West between January 6 and January 13.

Meteorologist Chris Tomer has spent the past 20 years forecasting mountain weather for skiers and climbers. Tomer combines his experience and knowledge in weather forecasting with his love for the outdoors, providing some of the best mountain weather forecasts for those hoping to plan around the weather for upcoming outdoor activities. You can find daily weather updates on both his YouTube channel and his blog.

None of this snowfall is a guarantee, as always, but we really hope it comes true. It’s pretty clear that everyone is itching to see quite a bit more snowfall on the ground. 20 inches at some of the New England mountains could really make up for the tragic rainfall that closed several resorts, and 10-20 inches of snowfall in Colorado would make me very happy.
